MODULE 2: SESSION 12: The Hebrew Bible is Like an Aspen Grove
The Hebrew Bible can be likened to both a quilt and to an aspen grove in such a way that a quilt refers to different patches of clothes passed down to generations and forming one items. These patches represents different times and people but…

Chapter three :Versions of the Bible
In this chapter I have learnt that the bible was written in three languages:Hebrew, Amaraic and Greek languages. The old testament was mostly written in Hebrew except some parts of Daniel and Nehemiah. New testament was in Greek language.
The word version means a Bible written in a…

I personally really value the work of Bible translation in general and the fact that various translators do a great job in bringing the ancient text to make meaning in our different cultural and linguistic contexts. Having Bibles throughout the translation spectrum has proven to be a great practice.

The Bible is such a rich, life-giving piece of literature. Our study of it must be intentional and consistent. What better way to understand the Bible than to first understand its structure and how it is all put together? Great summary, @Joe

PERSONAL ESCHATOLOGY
MODULE 7
This lesson explores what the afterlife means, especially the concept of Heaven and how it connects to human identity and destiny in Christian theology. It begins by explaining that humans are more than physical beings or simple image-bearers; they are designed to participate in the divine life. This idea is linked…

Thank you Sir “Human destiny is not just about living in a renewed land but about the beatific vision seeing God face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12)”

PERSONAL ESCHATOLOGY
MODULE 6
It actually explores the idea of the temple as a central theme in the Bible, connecting Creation, redemption, and the future hope of believers. In the beginning, Creation itself was like a temple which is a sacred space where God’s presence dwelt with humanity. This theme continues through the Old Testament with…

MODULE 2: SESSION 11: Humans Formed from the Dust
I learnt something interesting that the emphasis of Genesis 2 when God forms the human from the dust signifies that they are from the realm of frail mortality. That means to have an eternal life there is a need of imposition of something else into the equation of human creation.…

MODULE 2: SESSION 11: Genesis 1 Imagery in Jeremiah 4
The words used to describe the pre-creation state in Genesis—tohu va-vohu—mean “wild and waste” (e.g., Jer. 4:23). Wild and waste, darkness, and the deep waters are images for the pre-creation state of non-order. Jeremiah is activating day one of Genesis but reversing it. He’s…

INTRODUCTION TO THE HEBREW BIBLE
MODULE 2: SESSION 11: The Hebrew Bible as a Mosaic
Reading the narrative of hyperlinking of the Hebrew Bible l think the hyperlinking is very necessary for a better understanding. My thinking is for instance, David was not the first King of Israel therefore it required you reading the story of Samuel then how…
