Statement on Quality Assurance, Accreditation, and Academic Integrity

The Online Bible Institute Network is a non-government-accredited theological training network of institutes. Our main aim is Christian discipleship, leadership development, and ministry training, not academic credentialing. Degree authorization within affiliated institutions operates under applicable Florida statutes governing religious institutions. Programs are offered free of charge and are not intended for secular licensure or academic credit transfer.

At the Online Bible Institute Network, we are unequivocally committed to providing world-class biblical, theological, and ministry training that is faithful to Scripture, academically serious, globally informed, and freely accessible to the Church. Excellence is not optional for us—it is a matter of stewardship before God.

Our commitment to quality is intentional, structured, and comprehensive, spanning curriculum design, academic processes, practical ministry development, discipleship, and spiritual formation.

This statement is subject to review as we constantly shape and restructure the way we offer our services to meet the demands of the ever growing church and align with global ministry dynamics.

Academic Accountability and Memberships

Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries

Jesus Moment Bible Institute and Seminary (JMBIS) is a member of the Association of Independent Christian Colleges & Seminaries (AICCS). AICCS is one of the largest non-government accrediting groups in the world. “AICCS is a nonprofit association of independent Christian colleges and seminaries committed to academic excellence, intellectual freedom, ethical conduct, and moral integrity. AICCS was chartered as a charitable corporation in the State of Missouri to help establish, support, maintain, and promote the development of non-traditional, modular, and private tutoring/mentoring methods on campus and audio/video-taped, online, and other distance learning methods off-campus. We foster flexible, experimental, innovative, personalized learning alternatives, as well as traditional post-secondary and graduate-level educational modalities. Our affiliated schools offer degrees which are absolutely legitimate, totally honorable, widely respected, and generally accepted within the Christian community.”

Academic Council For Educational Accountability

Jesus Moment Bible Institute and Seminary (JMBIS) is also a member of the Academic Council For Educational Accountability, a non-governmental agency designed specifically to promote integrity among Christian colleges and universities. ACEA is a network of Christian educators and Christian training programs & schools. They exist to provide both credibility through accountability or credibility through association.

Legal Authorization – United States (Florida)

In the United States of America, authority over degree-granting institutions rests with individual state governments.

Jesus Moment Bible Institute and Seminary (JMBIS)—with which the Online Bible Institute Network operates within a broader educational network—grants religious degrees under the authority of the Florida State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities, in compliance with Section 1005.06(1)(f), Florida Statutes.

Under Florida law:

  • Religious institutions are not required to hold regional or theological accreditation
  • Such institutions are not required to be regulated by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE)
  • As a result, JMBIS is not listed as a “regulated institution,” which is normal and lawful for religious institutions

JMBIS has received formal authorization from the State of Florida, confirming compliance with applicable statutes and legal authority to offer legitimate American religious degrees. This authorization has been in effect since 2015.

State authorization establishes legal standing, while accreditation remains a voluntary recognition process.

Our Education Model

The Online Bible Institute Network operates on a curated and structured learning model. We do not employ in-house instructors, nor do we attempt to recreate theological content already developed with excellence and proven fruit.

Instead, we intentionally assemble, organize, sequence, and contextualize high-quality courses drawn from respected Christian training ministries with decades of global impact, including:

  • The Bible Project
  • Awakening School of Theology
  • Church Encourager Network
  • Third Millennium Ministries (ThirdMill Institute)
  • Blue Letter Bible Institute
  • Ray Stedman Ministries
  • Harvestime International Institute

Our responsibility is to carefully vet, integrate, and contextualize these materials into coherent programs of study that serve pastors, church leaders, missionaries, and serious students of Scripture.

Rigorous Academic Process & Quality Assurance

Although we are not a traditional classroom-based institution, we maintain a rigorous academic process from admission through graduation, designed to meet global and standard expectations for serious theological study.

Our academic standards include:

  • Structured admissions processes appropriate to each program level
  • Clearly defined learning outcomes and intentional program progression
  • Serious and consistent grading standards
  • Written assignments and assessments that test comprehension, synthesis, critical thinking, and application
  • Systems and policies to detect and address plagiarism
  • Clear guidelines governing the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, with mechanisms in place to identify misuse and preserve academic integrity

We expect students to engage honestly, think carefully, and demonstrate personal mastery of the material. Academic dishonesty, plagiarism, or misuse of technology is treated as a serious violation of our standards and attracts consequences.

Quality assurance is further maintained through:

  • Doctrinal and theological vetting of all course content
  • Ongoing review for biblical fidelity, clarity, and ministry usefulness
  • Strong emphasis on Scripture, spiritual formation, ministry competence, and Christian character.

Our standard of evaluation is faithfulness to the Word of God and usefulness to the Church, not institutional prestige.

Learning Community & Student Formation

Education within the Online Bible Institute Network is not merely individual or theoretical. We intentionally cultivate a learning community where students:

  • Participate in structured discussions around course content
  • Share learning insights, ministry challenges, and spiritual growth
  • Encourage one another in faith and perseverance
  • Learn to articulate, defend, and refine their convictions in community

We believe Christian learning flourishes best in fellowship, accountability, and mutual encouragement.

Our curriculum draws from diverse global contexts and Christian traditions, intentionally exposing students to voices from different contexts—not to promote confusion, but to develop discernment. Students are encouraged to:

  • Think critically and biblically
  • Disagree where necessary with clarity and charity
  • Test all teaching against Scripture
  • Build a faith that is well-informed, resilient, and deeply grounded in the Word of God

Our aim is not unexamined indoctrination, but biblical conviction shaped through understanding.

Position on Accreditation

The Online Bible Institute Network deliberately chooses not to pursue secular or government-recognized accreditation (such as accreditation recognized by ministries of education or the U.S. Department of Education, or other prominent regional accreditation).

This decision is intentional, principled, and missional.

Secular or government-recognized accreditation would impose financial, regulatory, and administrative obligations that would inevitably require us to:

  • Charge tuition
  • Restrict access
  • Shift focus from ministry formation to institutional compliance

We refuse to place financial barriers between God’s people and biblical education/discipleship. Our mandate is free access, global reach, and faithfulness to Scripture, particularly in underserved contexts.

Certificates, Church Recognition and Ministry Placement

Certificates, Diplomas, and Degrees issued by the Online Bible Institute Network indicate:

  • Completion of a defined and rigorous program of study
  • Faithful engagement with approved curriculum
  • Preparation for service in church and ministry settings

Important Clarification on Recognition and Placement

  • Church recognition and ministry placement are always subject to the policies, doctrinal standards, and discernment of the receiving church, organization, or denomination.
  • No certificate or diploma—accredited or otherwise—guarantees ordination, appointment, or placement in ministry.

That said, the Online Bible Institute Network is confident and unapologetic about the quality, seriousness, and biblical faithfulness of the ministry training our graduates receive. Our programs are intentionally designed to produce students who are:

  • Theologically grounded
  • Biblically discerning
  • Ministry-ready
  • Spiritually formed

We encourage churches and ministry leaders to assess graduates by doctrine, character, calling, and competence, rather than credentials alone.

What This Means for Students

Our Programs ARE:

  • Biblically faithful and theologically serious
  • Academically rigorous and carefully structured
  • Ministry-focused and globally informed
  • Offered completely free of charge

Our Programs Are NOT:

  • Government-accredited academic degrees
  • Designed for secular licensure or regulated professions
  • Intended for automatic academic credit transfer

Our Conviction

We believe the Church is strengthened not by institutional prestige, but by:

  • Faithful teaching
  • Rigorous and honest learning
  • Accessible training
  • Biblically grounded leaders
  • Obedient servants of Christ

For this reason, the Online Bible Institute Network exists to provide free education, curated excellence, rigorous academic integrity, transparent accreditation, and unwavering faithfulness to Scripture—for the glory of Christ and the good of His Church.
