  • Introduction to the Hebrew Bible – Sessions 10 -12

The major things that I learned in this module were that the Hebrew Bible did not show up in once piece all together. But that the text had grown through years and years of oral traditions, traditions in writing and then by the faithful hands of many scribes, which passed down the writings, through generations of oral traditions and traditions…

    • The Divine Christ – Session 3

My first takeaway is that i was greatly impacted by Paul’s reference to Jesus as Lord in a strong and personal way. I always know and knew Christians refers to Jesus as Lord, but I didn’t realized how significant this kind of title was for Paul. The evidence that Paul associates Jesus with such titles as worship, and to the title of Yahweh…

So we as Christians are encouraged to press on in salvation even more, living with the hope of seeing our maker in eternity

        • The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit – Sessions 1 – 2

The two sessions has really impacted my knowledge and understanding about the Holy Spirit by full understanding that the Holy Spirit is a person who is third in the trinity and not just a power or force.

Most times have heard people talk and discuss the Holy Spirit in line and connection with signs, miracles, wonders, gifts, or power…

          • From the lessons 25-27 of the introduction to the Hebrew bible i have come to enjoy the lesson on the bible narrative analogy.

I have learned that narrative analogy is a story telling technique used by the biblical authors to give as comparisons and parallelism to an older story and a new one. Here the reader is prompted to connect…

          • Creative Bible Study Methods: Lesson 1

In this lesson, I learned that the word “Bible” is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible; rather, it is used to refer to the different books of the Bible. I also learned that the 66 books of the Bible were written by 40 writers throughout a period of 1,500 years by the inspiration of God.

Some of the writers wrote exactly what God instructed them…

          • The Attributes of God Session 3 - 4

These two sessions has revealed and taught me of the unshared attributes of God. The first thing that moved me is actually the truth about the transcendence and immanence of God where I learnt that God is incredibly high and ever lifted up but still he is here with us.

I have some moments before, mostly during my tough times and experiences…

            • Hi Francis,

Thank you for sharing the lessons you learned from the session, which are the transcendence and immanence of God and His unchangeable nature.

Having this understanding about God is pivotal for every believer, especially the new believers.

Based on my relationship with God so far, I have come to realize that understanding God…

          • Introduction to the Hebrew bible- sessions 22-24

From sessions 22-24 and am very much impressed by the section or chapter on repeated words or literary design.

What i have come to learn and understand is that repeated words and literary design is never an accident but rather an architectural deliberate tool used in creating a pattern.

It is also used in building a rhythm that confuses…

              • Thank you very much for sharing this. Although I have not gotten there yet, from your post I can now understand the reasons for the repetitions in the Bible.

Before now, I used to ask myself why some verses appeared in multiple books. I now understand the intentionality behind that.

              • Dear friends in the Lord, am so so happy for the warm welcome i have received from you.

              • Introduction to the Hebrew bible - Sessions 7–9

These sessions have helped me to understand that the Bible’s account of its origin actually changes the way we are supposed to view and use the scriptures in our daily lives. The Bible is not just a book of rules or the ancient history but it tells us the story of god’s plan to rescue men. So we see that throughout the scriptures God made…

              • The Attributes of God Session 1 - 2

These two sessions helped me to understand our God in a deeper and personal way. I was impacted most with the learning about our God’s incomprehensibility. Before, what I always knew was that God is greater than us the humans, but I honestly had not really stopped to think of how limited my human understanding is and has being compared to…

                • Amen and greetings

I believe it is such lessons pertaining to God and who He is, that give strength and peace to us so that we may wait upon Him in all that we ask or seek, knowing that He sees and knows all and at the appointed time will bring to pass that which is perfect for us. I myself am still learning to let God be God.

                  Amen
